Hillhouse

The Hillhouse sits on the hilltop overlooking Camp Wandawega. It is a modern renovation of a 1930s summerhouse. While it maintains the original footprint and some of the vintage charm, it offers more modern comforts & amenities than our other accommodations. The main level is all open plan, and includes a living room, a large fully outfitted kitchen, wood burning fireplace, open dining room, bathroom and expansive deck. 2 bedrooms and a full bath downstairs. And a lofted bedroom upstairs.

100-year-old basic cabin tucked into camp overlooking the lake and private beach. The white log cabin sleeps up to 2 in one full bed. The Camp Latrine (see photo) for this cabin is a short walk away, as is the shared bathhouse featuring fully private showers.

Upper Level: The top level of this historic 1920s era hotel / bunkhouse / brothel has 6 bedrooms. Two restrooms, showers, a kitchenette, and a parlor. Kitchenette is suitable for making sandwiches - not proper cooking: Like all of Camp, it’s a back-to-basics, no-frills, primitive experience. Simple rooms, vintage furnishings, There’s gas forced air heat, but the AC comes from opening a window. You have a dedicated outdoor grill, picnic area, and campfire site.

Mid & Lower Level: The mid level of the historic bunkhouse/brothel has 6 bedrooms. There are shared primitive "his" and "hers" restrooms, a kitchenette down below, and access to camp showers. The floor has 4 rooms with full beds and 2 rooms with 2 twins. You have a dedicated outdoor grill, picnic area, and campfire site. Like the rest of Camp, it’s a back-to-basics, no-frills, primitive experience. Simple rooms, vintage furnishings. You can get air conditioning by leaving your windows open.

And it's a short trek to camp showers.

THIS LISTING…is especially rustic. The cozy little A-frame cabin has no frills, no power, and is a short walk to your "camp latrine" (see photo) and showers. This hilltop campground overlooks the lake and wetlands. All decked out with the bare minimum of 2 single beds.

100-year-old basic cabin are tucked into camp overlooking the lake and private beach. The green cabin sleeps up to four (1 full bed, one bunkbed). The bunk beds are not really "adult-sized" and are best for youngsters. The Camp Latrine (see photo) for this cabin is a short walk away, as is the shared bathhouse featuring fully private showers.. The green cabin has French doors that open up to a deck that leads right down to the private Camp Wandawega beach.
